Started out in go karts at the age of 7. First year of karts at sts and won the championship. Eventually moved up to bomber/pure stock at the age of 10. Ran South Texas Speedway and I-37. At the age of 14 I was able to move up to Imca Sportmods. First race was the Abilene Icebreaker. Made 2 of the 3 A mains. 5th race in the car, got my first win. At the age of 16 I started racing both modified and sportmod. Over the years i've had multiple wins and a few big wins. Including a $3,000 win at the 1st annual South Texas Nationals and $1,500 at the cotton bowl showdown. I've raced all over Texas, Iowa, Kansas, and Arkansas. Races including the Imca Supernationals, Race for Hope 74, and many more.
Tell us about your family:
We have been a racing family for as long as I can remember. My father, Darin Leonard, raced Pure Stock, Street Stock, and Modified. My Mother, Brandy Leonard, raced Bombers. My youngest sister, Caitlin Leonard, raced go carts and is currently racing Pure Stock. My oldest sister, Courtney Leonard, graduated from UT this last year, and is currently a Forensic Scientists for criminal evidence.
